Jesus wasn't seeking information – He was igniting transformation.
More Than Meets the Eye: Exposing Hidden Motives
Imagine being paralyzed for 38 years. You're desperate for healing. Then, Jesus approaches and asks, "Wilt thou be made whole?" (John 5:6). You might think, "Well, duh! Isn't it obvious?" But Jesus wasn't interested in a surface-level response. He was digging deeper, exposing the man's potential resignation and prompting him to confront his own faith.

Jesus did the same thing with the religious leaders. When they challenged His authority, He responded with a question: "The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men?" (Matthew 21:25).
