Many believe "going with God's flow" implies passive waiting. This is incorrect. It demands active participation, discerning His will, and working towards His purpose. It's about aligning with God's direction and actively engaging in His plan.

Understanding God's Flow:

God's flow is the direction of His will. It's recognizing His hand and trusting He works all things for good (Romans 8:28: "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."). Challenges lead to growth and reliance on God. It's recognizing God amidst life's complexities.

Discerning God's Will:

Discerning God's will involves prayer, Scripture study, and wise counsel. We ask for direction and wisdom (James 1:5: "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."). Bible study and mentors offer guidance.

Taking Action:

Action is crucial. Faith without works is dead (James 2:26: "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also."). "Going with the flow" means actively embracing opportunities, stepping outside comfort zones, and trusting God's provision. Courage, obedience, and willingness to follow are necessary.

Embracing the Journey:

The journey isn't always smooth. Proverbs 3:5-6 guides us: "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Trust God's control and plan even in confusion.

Overcoming Passivity:

Passivity hinders active participation. Fear, procrastination, and lack of motivation tempt us to wait. But God calls us to faith, even when unprepared. Philippians 4:13 assures us: "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

The Fruits of Active Participation:

Active participation brings blessings, purpose, fulfillment, and a deeper relationship with God. We become vessels of His grace.

Examples of Active Participation:

  • Abraham: Obeyed God's call (Genesis 12:1: "Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:").

  • Moses: Led the Israelites (Exodus 3:10: "Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.").

  • Esther: Risked her life (Esther 4:16: "Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.")
